    • L. David DeCapp, 83, Silvis, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at his home.

      Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, East Moline.

      Visitation is 3-6 p.m. today at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, with a Rosary recited at 3 p.m.

      Mr. DeCapp worked 38 years at John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, retiring in 1976 as a punch press operator L. David DeCapp was born Aug. 19, 1917, in Silvis. He married Alma VanHorbeck in 1940 in Moline.

      He was an Army veteran of World War II.

      Survivors include his wife, Alma; daughters, Joyce VanDeHeede, East Moline, Linda Rumburg, Silvis, and Theresa Davis, Rock Island; sons, Richard and John, both of Moline; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Margaret Cook and Clara Kilgore, both of Paducah, Ky.
