    • Eleanor Monchek Zupko age 85 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away Friday November 23rd 2012 at Princeton Medical Center, with her loving family at her side. Born in Jersey City she had resided in South Amboy before moving to Parlin 53 years ago. Before her retirement in 1991 she was employed as a secretary for the Sayreville Board of Education in the High School where she worked for five years. Prior to that Mrs. Zupko was also employed as a secretary for Charles Komar & Soon in South Amboy and was a sales representative for Avon for 30 years. Eleanor was a communicant of Sacred Heart R. C. Church in South Amboy where she was a member of the Rosary Society and also a member of the Sayreville Senior Citizens Tuesday Club.

      She is predeceased by her husband Henry M. Zupko in 1995 her parents Joseph & Pauline Monchek and her brother Larry Monchek. Surviving are her children and their spouses Henry & Maripat Zupko of South Amboy, Keith Zupko of Washington, Kennetth & Maryann Zupko of Sayreville, Cheryl & Allan Golembieski of East Windsor and Karen & John Sukunda of Newtown, Pa.; her grandchildren and their spouses Tricia & Ken Aloisio, H. Matthew & Stephanie Zupko, Lauren & Oscar Casas, Mari Zupko, Brian Zupko, Jesse Zupko, Michael & David Golembieski, and Joseph & Katherine Sukunda; her great grandchildren Scarlett Zupko, Oscar Casas III, and Elizabeth Aloisio, and her brother Joseph Monchek of East Brunswick.

      Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9:30am mass at Sacred Heart R. C. Church in South Amboy with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.
