    • John, 78, died at Lynmoore Assisted Living in Fort Pierce. He was born in Long Island City, NY and lived in Port St. Lucie one year, coming from Howell, NJ.

      Before retirement, he was an iron worker.

      Survivors include his sons, Nicholas Sukunda and John Sukunda; step-daughters, Doreen Sasarak, Deborah Schank and Donna Rand Chandler; step-sons, Christopher Rand and Jeffery Scheffer; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly; and brothers, Nickolas Sukunda and Lewis Sukunda.

      SERVICES: Visitation will be from 6-8p. April 17 at Forest Hills Byrd Young and Prill Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie, with a Paschal service at 7p. Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10a. April 18 at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Church in Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City.
    • It was Yanko jr and Beverly that lived in Florida. She died first of cancer and her daughter took John in till he died a year later.
